12:00 – Do I need to wear a mask to be a hero? by Aaron Zammit Apap

The theme revolves about the need of a hero to wear a mask to help those in need. We would draw inferences from actual superheroes who have helped persons being bullied, but also discuss how it works in real life, where some people are uneasy about sticking up for others if they reveal their identity, perhaps for fear of not being accepted or retribution. An interesting offshoot from this is that ‘villains’ may feel comfortable wearing a ‘mask’ – and we see this in today’s life online, with cyberbullying. We expect to balance the discussion with representatives from bBrave, a comic artist and a person who has had bullying experiences.
