Dragon Academy was founded back in 1995 and has since then established itself as one of the best Martial Arts schools on the Island. Located in Hamrun, Dragon Academy offers two different martial arts both hailing from Korea, Taekwondo & Hapkimudo.

On the day Dragon Academy will be showcasing Hapkimudo, a relatively modern martial art hailing from Korea. Hapkimudo was developed by Gran master Lee Eun Jong 9th Dan though nowadays it is his assistant Grand Master Kang Jong Lee who is responsible for the teachings. Hapkimudo addresses all aspects of combat, method of personal defence, school of rigor and self-control, dynamic system. Hapkimudo favours mind openness. Hapkimudo is simply an approach of Hapkido that emphasis on all forms of fighting, the rich technique, the pragmatism and mostly on the build of a student with a strong body and mind but who is above all lucid and modest about his own practice. Hapkimudo knows how to adapt to all: men and women, young and old.

Dragon Academy will be giving two Hapkimudo demonstrations on Saturday and on Sunday to show the various aspects of Hapkimudo including kicks, breakfalls, releases, locks and use of traditional Korean weapons.
