JLA – Tower of Babel review by Raphael Borg

JLA Tower of Babel by Mark Waid and Mark Pajarillo continues hot off the heels of World War III arc by Grant Morrison and Howard Porter and is probably one I regret not having read about before. Both arcs clearly indicate what makes the League need one another even if they are essentially gods among men. The whole volume is, as Kevin Smith eloquently puts it, “the best a comic book can be”, providing standout moments for each one of the Leaguers and and why each one is essential by taking them apart. It’s a heady read – especially the arc by Grant Morrison – but a truly enjoyable one.
