Magilicutty issue 1 Out Now!

Wicked Comics; the organisers of the annual Malta Comic Convention and promoters of the comic culture worldwide are proud to announce the release of the first issue of an exciting independently published comic called Magilicutty.

Written by Sam Bruch and illustrated by Brian Bicknel the first issue of Magilicutty follows a C-level henchman struggling to make ends meet in an economy that’s unkind to low-level villains and their assistants. His world falls apart when his most recent boss, The FightKnight, is captured by a mysterious and powerful new hero, leaving him jobless.

About the Creators:

Sam Bruch

Twenty two years old, Samuel Bruch attends Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg, Kansas, as a dual Creative Writing and Justice Studies Major. Known by his friends as Sam, he has had several years of comic book experience as both a fan and writer.
Readers say “…his style of writing is one that can only be described as whimsical, cynical, and very tongue in cheek-sical.” He draws influence from comic legends Grant Morrison and Joss Whedon. Bruch doesn’t plan to stop with one set of comics, but an entire universe within his own image.

Brian Bicknell

Brian Bicknell is a commercial artist and illustrator whose work has appeared in commercials and movies both in the United States and internationally, he has collaborated on projects for comics, graphic novels, book covers, television, and movies as a co-writer, illustrator, and storyboard artist. Brian founded his own illustration company Bicknell Designs (bicknelldesigns.com) in 2005 and A-52, his first self written and illustrated Graphic Novel, will be exhibited at the 2015 Comicon in New York. Brian was classically trained in Illustration, and graphic design in Boston MA., and cannot remember a time when he was not drawing or sketching. He currently resides with his family on the North Shore of Massachusetts.
