Join Us in Celebrating MOAS!

MOAS is an international humanitarian organisation that stands as a beacon of dedication, responding quickly and efficiently to emerging crises and providing humanitarian assistance and services to the most vulnerable communities worldwide. Inspired by innovation and efficiency, MOAS’s unwavering commitment is at the forefront of the humanitarian world.

Since its inception in 2014, MOAS has saved 200.000 lives through its activities. After several search-and-rescue missions in the Mediterranean Aegean and Andaman Seas, MOAS expanded its operations to Southeast Asia to assist Rohingya refugees and local communities in Bangladesh.

Today, MOAS is involved in several missions in Sudan, Yemen, and Somalia, helping the most vulnerable communities. Over 400 tonnes of nutritional aid has been delivered in Yemen, Somalia, and Sudan to combat child malnutrition, as well as hundreds of thousands of critical medical supplies to support communities cut off from healthcare due to conflicts and internal crises.

Since the Ukraine conflict outbreak in 2022, MOAS has been at the forefront of emergency medical relief efforts. With a team of 150 medical professionals and a fleet of 50 ambulances, MOAS has saved 50,000 lives and treated over 30,000 patients through its Mobile Medical Unit, in collaboration with Ronald McDonald House Charities Latvia, offering critical care to communities cut off from healthcare services.

MOAS also operates in Malta with several initiatives aimed at assisting migrant communities through educational and integration projects.

MOAS has the ECOSOC consultative status and is a member of the Malta Refugee Council.
