Multiversity review by Raphael Borg

Very few authors write high, abstract concepts in such a concrete and fun yet mind-blasting way as Grant Morrison.
Purely an anthology series at first sight connected by a major crisis across the multiverse jeopardizing ALL of comics (if not fiction) in the most literal way possible in a manner only Grant Morrison can write, each issue is a statement about the nature of comics and why it should not be dismissed. In fact, the villains are those who would dismiss or render comics meaningless (the ‘Gentry’). Each issue speaks about something about comics – time, meaning, morality, the anxiety of influence and continuity among others.
A word of advice – as with all things Grant Morrison, don’t read it with a headache.
