After years disassembling and rebuilding certain corners of the Marvel universe, Brian Michael Bendis is back writing a creator owned comic. I have been a fan of his earlier noir fiction crime comics, so I was looking forward for something in the same line. A cinematic oriented approach was used for the story”s layout but in certain aspects this emerges even better on comic, than on film. Alex Maleev gives us one of his best harsh edged photo realistic artwork that we are used to expect from him, this time enhanced by his own colouring palette. The story revolves around a young and angry female protagonist who embarks on an innovative style of dialogue with the reader whilst narrating ways and means of how to fix the corrupt world we are living in, unlike many. One just needs to read it to truly appreciate an excellent first-class comic, both for its artwork and story!
