‘Taħt’ is the first issue of a Maltese graphic novel series about two brothers, Peter and Marc, who come across a book about old Maltese fables in their grandparents’ study. On opening the book, they find themselves drawn into the fantastic world of ‘Taħt’ where they meet up with and eventually end up helping Carla – a resident of this strange world, recover a golden fruit from a giant snake. An impossible world that until now, only existed in stories that the boys’ aunt once told them.
‘Taħt’ is a work of love that melds together several components that we, the creators find captivating: the blend of mythical and forgotten Maltese tales and a sense of adventure that we, as readers had every time we opened a new book, page by page.
