Surely these past two years have been difficult on everyone. The pandemic forced us to cancel the Malta Comic Con for two years in a row, a difficult decision taken in the best interest of all. Despite our silence Wicked Comics remained active, monitoring the situation and trying to figure out a safe way to resume our activities.
We are now ready to start the rebuilding process and are excited to share our plan with you. Starting from the end of this year we will start to periodically hold a series of small activities which will hopefully lead to the re-launch of the Malta Comic Con at the end of October 2022. To this end we are proud to introduce you to our first artistic event; The Malta Comic Art Gallery.
Between the 11th and 13th of December 2021, at Sala Cotoner, Notre Dame Gate in Birgu we will be hosting the Malta Comic Art Gallery. In the absence of the Malta Comic Con this event will be an alternative platform for local artists to exhibit and sell their work while showcasing their latest and upcoming projects. The Malta Comic Art Gallery will be a celebration of local comic artistry which will hopefully serve as a stepping stop to the return of the Malta Comic Con. We are working hard are providing a safe environment which adheres to the Health directives and protocols and we hope that the Malta Comic Con community can attend and support the local artist industry.
The event will run from December 11th till the 13th between 10:00 and 22:00 at Sala Cotoner, Notre Dame Gate, St Edward’s Street, Birgu (Location below). Entrance is free and your compliance to Health Directives is solicited.
