There is no need for any introduction to this title. It is one of the best and consistent, independent ongoing comic book series and now also a successful television series. After reading these six volumes, I still yearned for more as Robert Kirkman is one hell of a writer. Unlike other stories that show us a glimpse of living in a zombie infested world, this series with its various twists transpires drama, conflicts, maturity, character development and more. The main character in this journey is police officer Rick Grimes that wakes up in a hospital and goes through various struggles to find his family and eventually to keep them and his friends alive. The first few issues of the series were drawn by Tony Moore but artist Charlie Adlard continued the pencilling and is still going strong. Without revealing anything, be prepared for some jaw dropping scenes.
