
Aurelio Mazzara is an Italian illustrator and comic book artist, born in 1984 in Palermo, Sicily. He is known for his collaborations with major publishers such as Disney, DreamWorks, Marvel, IDW Publishing, CMON Games, and Ancre Noire. At the age of three, Aurelio began drawing by copying images from magazines. By the age of six, he was creating his own stories, which he photocopied and sold to his family. He trained at the Scuola del Fumetto in Palermo, a branch of the Milan-based school, where he refined his techniques and learned the secrets of the trade. After completing his studies, he attended New York Comic Con to present his work to editors at Marvel and Disney. This initiative led to collaborations on projects such as Kung Fu Panda, Fruit Ninja, Planes, Cars, and Skylanders. In addition to his career as an illustrator, Aurelio is also involved in teaching in Italy, sharing his experience and skills with aspiring young artists.
