Craig Fairbrass is an English actor, producer, screenwriter and voice performer whose career has lasted for more than four decades. Born in London on 15 January 1964, he developed an interest in acting at a young age and joined the National Youth Theatre after leaving school. Before becoming successful, he supported himself by working as a roofer and nightclub doorman. Fairbrass began his acting career in the 1980s, appearing in British television programmes and films. He gained recognition through roles in London’s Burning, Prime Suspect and the Hollywood action film Cliffhanger. Between 1999 and 2001, he became widely known for playing Dan Sullivan in the BBC soap opera EastEnders. He later became particularly famous for starring in British crime and action films. One of his best-known roles is gangster Pat Tate in the Rise of the Footsoldier franchise. His performance earned him a Best Actor award at the 2018 National Film Awards UK. He also co-wrote and starred in London Heist, winning another Best Actor award in 2016. Fairbrass is also well known for his video-game work. He voiced characters including Gaz and the iconic Simon “Ghost” Riley in the Call of Duty series, as well as George Mason in Battlefield V. More recently, he appeared as Chef Zeff in Netflix’s live-action One Piece and in the BBC series Boat Story.
