GNLM & Malta Libraries Comic Making Art Course: Introduction to Comic Book Art (Levels 1 & 2)
Following the success of last year’s Introduction to Comic Book Art – Level 2, GNLM and Malta Libraries are once again teaming up to offer a hands-on summer course for aspiring comic creators. Whether you’re an artist, a writer, or simply passionate about storytelling, this course is your gateway into the exciting world of comic book art.
Running over 9 weeks starting this July, the course is now available at two levels:
Level 1 – Designed for younger creatives aged 9–16, ideal for those just starting out.
Starting on Wednesday 23-07-2025 every Wednesday at 10am to 12pm
Level 2 – Open to participants aged 16 and above, for those ready to explore comic art in greater depth.
Starting on Saturday 26-07-2025 every Saturday at 10.30am to 12:30pm

Participants will explore the foundations of comic creation, including character design,
colour theory, inking, panel layout, and visual storytelling.
Places are limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis,
and must be able to reach a quota for the course to commence.
