Female Force: Julia Child – COOKS UP INTERACTIVE EXPERIENCE IN NEW COMIC BOOK APP

Perhaps no single individual has left as indelible an impression on the culinary world as Julia Child. After the dessert aperitif to the successful Female Force: Julia Child comic book, Bluewater announced a new interactive app that brings much of the comic book content to life.

The app Female Force: Julia Child, now available iTunes, Google Play, and the Amazon Appstore for $2.99.

Female Force: Julia Child the sold out comic book is now turned into an app with Authorly, a tool that turns static content into interactive digital applications. Julia Child fans can now engage and interact with the story. Click on “audio hotspots” to hear sound effects play and swipe to navigate through Child’s journey toward being a chef. Authorly apps include features such as narration, word-by-word highlighted text, audio and video hotspots, basic animation and movements, sound effects and background music, and more!

The comic book which is part of the female empowerment series called Female Force, showcases women that have made a difference in the world.

She charmed millions of television viewers worldwide with her infectious passion for cooking and eccentric personality. The latest issue of Female Force will transport you back in time, through Child’s days in Paris where she learned to cook at Le Cordon Bleu, as she wrote her famous cookbook, Mastering the Art of French Cooking, and to her days as a popular television host.

Written by Michael Troy and art by Nathan Girtin the 32-page comic book will be sold as an e-book as well as the new interactive app.

Authorly is a tool that lets authors, illustrators, and publishers turn their visually driven stories into interactive storybook apps and directly publish them to iTunes, Google Play, and the Amazon App Store. These creators can use the do-it-yourself tool and no longer risk their time and money by relying on software developers.
