Leonidas “Steve” Stivaktis

Steve graduated from Ornerakis School of Applied Arts in 2012. Since then, he’s been working on comics, illustration, writing, and tattooing. In 2021, he wrote the comic “Spazorahoula” (illustrated by Len Gogou), which was published by Jemma Press, and won the award for Best Script at the Greek Comic Awards. Until then, he was mostly known for his self-published work, especially the comics “Esmé” and “Jellinkfish”. In 2022, he made illustrations for the award-winning documentary “AKOE-AMFI: The History of a Revolution (*To Sleep On His Chest)” by Sifis Vardakis, and this year he published his new comic, “Gérard, or The Sword On His Back”, which is currently being translated and soon to be released in English. He has written and/or illustrated several other comics, children’s books, and tabletop role-playing games, and he’s known for his neo-traditional-tattoo-style illustrations, the queer fantasy themes of his work, and the outrageous amounts of stickers he produces.
