Wicked Comics are proud to announce the third edition of the Malta Comic Convention which will be held on Saturday 26th November and Sunday 27th November 2011 at St. James Cavalier, Valletta. Doors open from 10am till 6pm on both days.
In order to assist fans who wish to attend the Malta Comic Con from abroad Wicked Comics have formulated the following package:
The package amounts to approximately 25 Euro per night per person (shared room) or 35 Euro per night per person (single room). Price may be lowered depending on the exact duration of your stay in Malta. This includes the following:
– Accommodation in a 4 star Hotel in Qawra on bed and breakfast basis.
– Morning and evening transport form hotel to convention venue and convention venue to hotel on both days of the comic con.
– Comic Con ticket covering both days.

This year”s guests include Tim Perkins (which will be launching his book: Worlds End), Gary Erskine (Dan Dare), Emma Vieceli (will be launching Vampire Academy), Sonia Leong (leading manga creator, lecturer and professional cosplayer), David Lloyd (V for Vendetta), Steve Tanner and Time Bomb Comics (launching Dick Turpin), Jon Haward (Macbeth), Kate Brown (launching the hard copy of Fish + Chocolate) Renee Witterstaetter (President of Eva Ink Publishing), Michael Golden (Micronauts) Lucio Parillo (Hulk), Marco Santucci (Captain America), Leonardo Meschini (children”s books), Sean Azzopardi (Necessary Monsters), Christopher Malipitan (The Tunnel) and Thomas Gosselin (influential comic art lecturer).
Joining the professional creators will be the best local creators, some of which have already published their own work such as The Golden Lizard, The Tsar, Hal Mudlam, Arcana Crusade and For Gallantry. More locally produced comics will be launched this year which include issue 2 of Hal Mudlam, Pilot (a steampunk anthology), Apocalypse Rocked and the latest instalments of the running series Kranium and il-Gawgaw u l-Imlejka.
The Malta Comic Con comprises all things falling under the comic culture banner and is both entertaining and educational. On both days there will be material specifically intended for children while other specifically intended for a mature audience. In the cinema free movies and animations will be showing continuously. Art work and collectibles exhibitions will be held in the hall, and the guests will be holding a number of discussion panels and workshops throughout both days. Gamers can simply play for fun on a variety of leading consoles or enter specific tournaments held throughout both days, while a number of exhibition and introductory table-top and creative role playing games will also be held. Fans will once again be encouraged to create their own costumes of their favourite heroes and come dressed in these costumes. Should they wish they can also participate in the cosplay competition which will be held on both days. A number of commercial stands will compliment all these events.
