Matt Stroud is a Maltese illustrator and animator that focuses on narrative based art, as well as entertainment and education aimed at children. Matt studied in graphic design but after a couple of years in the industry realised his true passion was storytelling. After studying Animation he found a love for the process of pre-production which developed his skills as an illustrator. Today Matt has illustrated over 20 children’s books for various publishers and winning 4 ‘Terramaxka’ National Book Prizes. Matt also finds ways to apply his visual storytelling skills to different types of projects, such as the illustrations for this year’s Ziguzajg, collaborating with the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra and co-creating the animated preschool series Emme.
