A charismatic, ingenious heroine is set loose on the streets of London. After two years of unemployment, Maggy Garrisson lands a secretarial job with the shady, shambolic Anthony Wight: full-time private eye and part-time alcoholic. Five days later, he’s beaten to a pulp and Maggy is plunged into a sinister underworld of bent coppers, crooked businessmen and career criminals. Acclaimed French writer Lewis Trondheim (Poppies of Iraq) and artist
Stéphane Oiry offer up an atmospheric crime drama set in rain-soaked London. The city is brought to life through detailed observation of the streets, shops and pubs, especially around Kilburn and Kensal Rise. The tight panel-by-panel narrative emulates the tradition of newspaper strips such as Modesty Blaise, Jeff Hawke and James Bond, but it also captures the flavour and pacing of many popular TV detective series.
