Peter Magro is a Maltese illustrator, storyteller, and art educator born in 1990. His love for comics began with a childhood discovery of The Beano, sparking a lifelong passion for drawing and character creation. Peter pursued this interest academically, earning a degree in art education and a master’s in digital art, and has since taught art at all levels, encouraging creativity in others.
He entered the comic scene in 2015 with S.T.E.A.M.: Island Under Siege, a collaborative graphic novel with writer Ashley Eric Peschel. This debut led to further projects, including A Guidebook to SEC Revision Classes (Youth Guarantee Malta), and two adolescent graphic novels: Back in Time with Nannu Salv and Taħt (both 2019).
In 2022, Peter launched Energy Quest, his first solo project as both writer and illustrator. The series has since grown to three issues, with the latest released in 2024.
Beyond comics, Peter is also a fine artist, working in both traditional and digital media.
