PlayUp Malta is a community-focused gaming and entertainment organisation dedicated to bringing people together through tabletop games, roleplaying, social deduction, and immersive experiences.
At the heart of PlayUp is a simple idea: gaming is better when it brings people together. We create welcoming, social environments where complete beginners can sit at the same table as experienced players, learn something new, meet new people, and share memorable experiences.
Our activities include hosted board game events, with access to a growing library of over 200 board games, ranging from quick and accessible party games to strategy, cooperative, and heavier tabletop experiences. Our team helps participants choose suitable games, teaches the rules, and gets groups playing without the usual learning barrier.
We also organise and facilitate Dungeons & Dragons and other tabletop roleplaying sessions, including beginner-friendly one-shots, alongside social deduction games and interactive murder mystery experiences.
PlayUp also collaborates with venues, organisations, and companies to provide private and corporate gaming experiences, using games as a way to encourage communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and, most importantly, fun.
Our aim is to continue growing Malta’s tabletop community by making gaming accessible, inclusive, social, and welcoming to everyone.

We are proposing a 6-table gaming area where attendees can freely explore and play from our curated library of over 200 board games, guided by our team. Our goal is to create an inviting, high-energy space that enhances the overall event experience.

All activities at our stand would be completely free, encouraging more attendees to engage, stay longer, and return throughout the day.

Board games naturally create social interaction and draw crowds. Our facilitators actively help players learn games quickly, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience even for first-timers.
Inclusive appeal
Our selection caters to all types of attendees—from casual visitors and families to dedicated hobbyists—making the space accessible and engaging for a wide audience.
Structured D&D One-Shots (2 sessions daily)
We will run two Dungeons & Dragons sessions per day, designed for both beginners and experienced players. These sessions introduce new audiences to tabletop roleplaying while giving seasoned players a chance to dive into immersive storytelling.
Extended attendee dwell time
Our area encourages guests to pause, play, and relax, contributing to longer on-site engagement and a more dynamic event atmosphere.
