Stefan Kapicic

Stefan Kapicic is a German-born Serbian actor best known for his iconic role as Colossus, in the record-breaking Marvel/Fox feature film, Deadpool, and sequel Deadpool 2.

Studying at the Academy of Dramatic Arts, one of the most respected drama schools in Europe, Kapicic has since played more than 70 roles in theatre, film and television. After making his feature film debut in 2003, his breakout role was awarded “Best Debutant” at the Nish Film Festival. With such a successful debut, Kapicic went on to star in films such as The Cordon, Street Walker, Free Fall, and Tears for Sale.

Though film stands as his most popular performance medium, his small screen credits include David Mamet’s The Unit, Ridley Scott’s Numb3rs, and NBC’s The Event. As a European actor, his European television credits include Ordinary People, Vratice Se Rode, and Stella. Alongside film and television, Kapicic’s love for the stage has seen successful feats, appearing in over 50 plays including Shakespeare’s Merchant of Venice, Death by Woody Allen, and Hasanaga’s Wife, directed by Award Winning director Jagos Markovic. Kapicic has often been described as astonishing with regard to his stage presence.

Standing at an impressive 6’4” and having the ability to speak nine different languages, Kapicic has become an ideal candidate for the portrayal of certain characters. In 2016, Kapicic appeared in the record-breaking feature film Deadpool, as the physically imposing Colossus. Directed by Tim Miller, he starred alongside Ryan Reynolds’ American antihero, bringing a much dryer sense of humor often neglected by the X-Men franchise. Kapicic reprised this role in the 2018 sequel, Deadpool 2.

Stefan Kapicic has also appeared in critically-acclaimed Breaking Bad spinoff, Better Call Saul – portraying the recurring character Casper in several episodes. He also guest-starred in an episode of Chicago Med. Kapicic can also be heard in Love, Death & Robots, a collection of shorts by Tim Miller for Netflix. In 2019, Kapicic also voiced and motion captured both Nikolai and J-12 in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. He later reprised his role as Nikolai in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III.

Most recently, Stefan can be seen in the cult horror film Slotherhouse, and starring as Olgaren in the epic The Last Voyage of the Demeter.
