
Keith Burns is an award winning aviation artist and commercial illustrator. He has illustrated comics for almost 20 years with a slant towards WW2 aviation stories written by Garth Ennis. These comics include Johnny Red, Out of the Blue, The Boys, The Megazine, Battle Action and Ex-Con. Keith is a full member of the Guild of Aviation Artists and has sat on the judging panel for the annual exhibition multiple times. In 2015 he won the Messier Dowty award for Best Acrylic Painting in Show and has won the Aviation Painting of the Year Award in 2016 and 2025. In 2026 he won The Patricia Forrest and the Late John Moore Best Group of Paintings Award. Keith has also illustrated stamps for Jersey post, 12 Ladybird books on the Second World War and has worked with Aces High Gallery producing aviation paintings and prints for clients worldwide. He has recently completed his 50th Commando cover as well as painting the 6000th Commando cover.
