
Fernando Dagnino (Madrid 1973) told his parents when he was five years old that he wanted to be a comic book artist. They never listened to him. But he never listened to them either. He paid his debt with society finishing a degree in English literature and linguistics after which he decides to follow his heart from then on. In 1997, he worked as a Guest Disney Imagineer in L.A in the design of an attraction for DisneyQuest in Disney World Florida. In 1999 he published his first creator owned comic a black humour series named “Tales of the Black Spain.” He went on working as an illustrator for Juvenile Books, Magazines, Video Games and several Publicity Agencies In 2006 He wrote and drew his first Graphic novel for youngsters “KASANDRA y la Rebelion” In 2007 He started working as an exclusive for DC Comics in series such as: Superman, Supergirl, Wonder Woman, Teen Titans, Justice League, Resurrection Man or Suicide Squad;
After that he jumped onto independent publishers and the French BD market:
Dark horse comics: Captain Midnight ; Tarzan on the planet of the Apes
Valiant: KILLERS , NINJAK and RAI covers
Titan Comics: BLADE RUNNER ORIGINS, the prequel to the 1982 original film
Glénat: L’Agent, Winter Queen Dupuis.
He has published three creator owned books which have been translated into various languages:
SMART GIRL by Editions Reflexions. Panini , Titan comics
L’AGENT ( with Mathieu Gabella on the script) by Glénat , Ablaze
Winter Queen by Glénat
He has recently finished an album for Dupuis which will be released in 2026 and he is is currently working on the series CONAN the Barbarian for Heroic Signatures/ Titan
And writing and drawing short Sci-Fi Stories for Heavy Metal Magazine.
