Peter Magro is no stranger to the Malta Comic Con and has worked on productions such as local graphic novel S.T.E.A.M.: Island Under Siege (2015) (Story by Ashley Eric Peschel), collaborated with Youth Guarantee Malta on A Guidebook to SEC Revision Classes (2018), as well as two short graphic novels for adolescents (Back in Time with Nannu Salv (2019) (Written by Liz Mallia) and Taħt (2019) (written by Ivan Ellul Xuereb).
Peter also writes, illustrates his solo indie comic book series ‘Energy Quest’, with the first issue released in 2022 and second in 2023. ‘Energy Quest’ issue 3 will be also available during this year’s Malta Comic Con 2024.
Peter has also participated within the area of fine arts, experimenting with hand-drawn animation and painting. His skills vary from traditional ink, watercolours, oils and acrylics to digital media.
Peter is a Masters in Fine Arts in Digital Arts graduate (University of Malta) and also teaches art professionally at secondary and tertiary levels.
He is the chairperson of Graphic Novels Library Malta (GNLM), a non-governmental organization that aims to promote the production of comic art to both adults and children alike through yearly courses.
