Kevin Enhart is a writer for short films and comics, as well as a comic book artist and colorist. Kevin’s prior comic book projects include “Puss in Boots”, “Vikings”, “Warhammer 40.000”, “Anno Dracula”, and on the Megadeth anthology: “Death by Metal”. Kevin will have various books for sale such as: “Girls Girls Girls (and a few boys)” and “Aliens, Heroes and Other Creeps”.
Mario Torrisi’s work was first published by ManFont where he worked on the first chapter of the “Quantum Academy Apocrypha” comic book. More work followed, where he drew the last 20 pages of the “Sheena – Queen of the Jungle #4” published by Dynamite Entertainment. He is currently pursuing his dreams of working with the world’s biggest comics publishers and on concept art for sports cars creation.
Renee Rienties is an independent comic artist from the Netherlands. She made her start in the world of comics with her small press book “My Daily Life Comics” which was received well by her readers online and at comic conventions. Her art took a dark turn, from funny cute gag comics to creepy bloody horror when she worked on a story in the manga collaboration “Oyasumi” and in the “Hollandsch Manga” anthology series.
Simon Myers is best known for his work on the Doctor Who Comic Books by Titan Comics as he created the “album homage” and the “watercolour portrait” covers. He also created covers for properties such as Assassin’s Creed, Torchwood, Vikings, Sherlock and artwork for Dark Horse Comics’ Ghost and Star Wars Insider Magazine.
Robert Carey is the former Managing Editor and Co-Founder of Ligthning Strike Comics. He won the Mark Millar‘s Talent search 2017. He was the artist on such titles as: Supercrooks for Millarworld/Image comics, Power Rangers for Boom Studio, Aliens: Resistance for Dark Horse, Red Sonja and James Bond for Dynamite and he did the Cover art provided for Batman/Shadow. Robert also worked as the storyboard revisionist on Transformers Cyberverse animated series.
Léa Gerard’s first creation was a conservation/animal zine entitled ‘Pandas Are A**holes’. Her second is a zine written all about her mum, a punk rocker with some wild but true death-defying stories that you’ll find hard to believe! She loves nature, interesting people and you’ll probably find her in your back garden looking for bugs.
Apart from this formidable line up of guests the Malta Comic Con will have a lot of local talent exhibiting their work. Some of which include: Dean Fenech a teacher and passionate of the rock scene who has participated in every edition of the Malta Comic Con to date,
Andrei Xuereb who comes from a varied artistic background, Eric Leone, an illustrator and concept artist, fascinated by historical tales, legends, mythologies and fictional stories, Gabriel Borg who has been focusing mostly on digital art, mainly using Photoshop and working as a Junior VFX artist at Stargate Studios Malta and Ayrton Zammit who is an aspiring manga/comic artist.
The 11th edition of the Malta Comic Con 2019 will be held on Saturday 2nd (10am-6pm) and Sunday 3rd (11am-7pm) November at the Malta Fairs and Conventions Centre Ta’ Qali.
