Rachel Mifsud

Born in August 2002, Rachel Mifsud always had a passion for art from a very young age. At 11 years old she decided she would start doing art on a more professional level, experimenting with media such as watercolour, acrylics and pencil sketches.

She soon came to realise she has a massive love for portraits and although she tested her skills with landscapes and animal drawings among other things, none came quite close to exceeding the excitement of starting a new portrait drawing.

In 2018 she passed her O-Level examinations, including that of art and decided she would stop going to private lessons to truly experience artistic freedom. This led her to start experimenting with digital art, trying her best to mimic the look of drawing on paper.

In March of 2019 up until May, she produced promotional material for a book called Fables from Miragasia: The Upbringing written by Maryanne Fenech, for which she did character design and also what led to be her first comic.

Although she produces realistic and semi-cartoonish portraits of models and people her age, Rachel’s niche is metalhead portraits.
